Chapter 01

The brief

YarnCraft is run by two ladies passionate about crochet who know fibre, weight and dye lots inside out, but not design. Every brief is one line — which product they want an ad for. Everything after that is mine, including the Romanian copy on the ad, based on product information.

Chapter 02

The process

I choose the colours based on the yarn itself or draw them from their logo, decide on the layout, and write the Romanian copy from the product information they send. Since there are no brand guidelines, I keep a few elements consistent between ads so they still look like they come from the same shop: the price, the yarn’s properties, an order button and the logo.

Chapter 03

The work

The ads are grouped by product line, so they get requested. Each campaign uses the same elements, arranged differently depending on the product and the colours it comes in.
